Phil and Sally Walker continue on a bike ride from London to Paris as part of a team of cyclists in aid of the Scottish Huntington’s Association.
Included in the team is Sarah Winckless, ex-team GB rower, team mate of Kath Granger (2012 Olympic Gold medal winner), double world champion and Olympic Bronze medallist in Athens; Sarah is Huntington’s gene positive, which in short means that she has a 50/50 chance of getting the disease. Sarah’s mother has the disease which has left her in need of 24 hr. care. This is only one of many people worldwide who have this little known illness and there is currently no cure available.
Phil and his wife Sal are joining Sarah and her brother in doing a bike ride from London to Paris to help raise money for the Huntington’s charity, to continue funding medical research to hopefully one day find a cure.
