Our story

The company was originally established as a dedicated manning agency, but quickly expanded into the provision of specialist subsea equipment and engineering services.

Over the course of our 20-year history, we are extremely proud to have showcased consistent growth across our personnel, asset fleet, project portfolio and global reach. Developing a reputation of trust & reliability across the offshore sectors when it comes to our industry expertise and ability to deliver.

From our humble beginnings, we now employ ~30 members of staff split across onshore and offshore operations, operate globally in locations including Europe, the Far East, Middle East & Americas and possess an ever-growing asset fleet to aid project fulfilment.

Pharos has now become the industry’s agile and environmentally conscious partner of choice. We take great pride in sourcing, upgrading, and repurposing subsea assets, consistently elongating their usage.

We have also had the absolute pleasure of working on some extremely gratifying projects with amazing stakeholders, particularly in the offshore renewable sector, where our actions have had a direct and positive impact regarding sustainability.

Our history

2007

Our first MD3 Subsea Plough refurbishment & modification for an international client

2009

The design & build of our first Sea Stallion Subsea Plough in partnership with Royal IHC

2013

Alongside ongoing Offshore Manning and Technical Support Services, the design & modification of UTV-1200 TROV for an international client

2017

The current trenching fleet is established with the purchase & ongoing operation of UTV-400 TROV

2021

Further fleet expansion with the purchase & ongoing operation of UTV1100 (formerly UTV670) our shallow water surface fed trencher, plus our first Triton XLS WROV

2023

Pharos are expanding its subsea fleet further with the acquisition of a number of market leading trenching spreads

2003

Pharos Offshore Group subsidiary DFH is established to focus on Offshore Manning and Technical Support Services within the offshore energy sectors

2008

Pharos Offshore is established to focus on Subsea Assets alongside our successful Offshore Manning and Technical Support Services

2011

Pharos Offshore Group is established to consolidate DFH and Pharos Offshore under 100% ownership of Phil Walker CEO

2015

Pharos expands its asset portfolio with purchase of multiple Controlled Flow Excavators (CFE's), manned with its own offshore staff

2019

Our trenching fleet is expanded with the purchase & ongoing operation of Q1000 TROV

2022

Pharos conducts a successful fund raise to deliver its expansion strategy with the focus on fleet & team expansion to support the worlds energy transition

Purchase of further Triton XLS WROVs alongside a Sub-Atlantic SuperMohawk

2024

New addition to the Pharos fleet: the UTV600. Primarily a telecoms trencher, the UTV600 has 600hp can operate in depths down to 3,000m.
